As a city where former President Ronald Reagan went to College, Eureka apartment-ites have something to be proud of in their small community. With only just over 5,000 people, it is a very respectable community with parks, a city pool, a golf course, shopping, a medical center and an impressive Fourth of July fireworks display. Only about 30 minutes from Peoria, Illinois, it's close enough to a big city, but feels like country living.
Eureka has strong sense of family values, with a pride in
the city from its citizens to its city leaders. Eureka College is a four year college liberal arts college where Reagan graduated in 1932. Many people visit the city to see the Reagan Library at the college along the Ronald Reagan Trail and to follow his early life in Illinois. The 240 acre park with a 36 acre lake also makes it attractive to Eureka apartment dwellers.
